weekend

Judy has been wanting a remote control light on her garage, so we had talked about just loading up everything so Don could do some electrical work for her.
Well hubby came up with a genius idea, Why not make her a movable remote control light on an extension cord.
Then talk to Dianna and she wants one too . Well Don ended up making 3 because I thought what a great idea and have one for the RV when we go to dog shows. Mine is not remote control

Saturday we drove to IA and delivered Rumor to Judy

Stopped at Home Depot on the way back and decided to we need to do some updating in the master bathroom.
Got a new toilet and then figured why not put in new floor too.

So after an hour we finally had the flooring picked.
Today I thought we would be doing nothing, Wrong
We redid the whole bathroom
striped it down so everything was out of it . Well if we are going to do all that , why not paint?
So out of the house and to the friendly Ace hardware store.
What Color? good question????
Well after looking and deciding picked a very light minty green.
took 3 coats of paint.
Looked at the ceiling that need new paint too, so 2 coats on the ceiling
Then start on the new flooring, get that done - the rest is all the hubby's jobs.
At 5 pm tonight, I can say we have a completely redone bathroom. New paint, flooring and fixtures.

Maybe the Office next?

Between Friday and today had a very productive weekend and got a lot done.

Now the weather is suppose to change and get cold and maybe snow by Thanksgiving .
UCK to the cold and snow .

It was a beautiful day sun shining and 54 degrees
Can not believe how beautiful the weather has been this November. It is suppose to be 52 degrees today . Sun is shining very little breeze. October was so rainy and cold. Maybe Mother nature is forgetting about winter coming. Be nice if Dec. and Jan. were nice like this. I know, I am dreaming, but it would be nice to not have to expect the cold, snow and below zero temps coming in the next few months. I also can hear you thinking," if you want warm weather move south". Be nice to have a another place in a warmer climate in the winter, but that will not happen any time in the near future. Dog are enjoying the nice weather. Puppies are having great fun outside .

Well more outside work on the landscapes and triming shrubs today .
Tomorrow a trip to IA, then next week another trip to the Mpls to the airport.

I received a very nice email from a person researching Cardigans. They have an older Cardi now, that has many health problems. She thanked me for having such an informative web site. Says that she had learned very much by reading articles and links from my web site. Makes your day when someone compliments you on all the hard work done on my web site .

Now another subject
Seems someone has been downloading and copying several thing, from my website, including all the pedigrees of my litters and Cardigans I own.

Now they have all been removed.

There has also been script added to all pages that does not allow any copying or downloading of anything.

All you would have had to do is ask and I would probably would have sent you the information,...

TIS THE SEASON TO DUMP YOUR PET

I live in a very rural area in southern MN. Surrounded by farm land with the nearest neighbor being 1/2 mile to the west and to the east 1 1/2 miles. Having dogs here is a joy because no one cares much about the barking.

BUT......................
My vet is the next door neighbor to the east(1 .5 miles )
Yesterday she called to see if I knew anyone that owned a collie like dog. Went done to see the dog, looks like a border collie cross. He is very sweet and old. Someone had dumped it on her door step with 1/2 bag of dog food with a note " my name is Oscar". Ok,Thank God they left him there.
This morning I have a dog tied to the utility light pole in the middle of the yard. Left with a container of dog food but no note. I call animal control, of course they will not come and get it. Make a trip to Fairmont MN (25 miles one way) to deposit the dog at humane society animal control. When I get home, go out the feed the horses and cats. you guess it, 2 strange cats with a 1/2 bag of food and a note " please take care of ". They are kittens half grown and very sweet. Guess they can stay, cause I am not making another trip to Fairmont.
Guess you can never have to many cats when you live on a farmette. Only problem is they are both females, so that means more money to them spay.

Guess I should feel lucky cause they left some food......
Suppose I could leave a sign on the end of the drive way.
" Animal lover lives here, dump your pet here"

To the south of us, is a creek with a wooded area and old gravels pits. Someone turn 3 horses loose there last week.

Sure would be nice, if the general public that owns animals, would be responsible for them and stop thinking that just because you live in a rural area and own dogs, we want their dam pets.

City people= "OH let take a trip to the country and dump our dog, the people that live in that farm will want it" .....

I should be use to this, cause it seems to happen very year about this time and then again in the spring

There i vented......................................

Friday, November 13

yesterday was one of them day

Morning started out normal. Get everybody outside then feed.
Well yesterday Zoey was taking an airplane ride to CA.

Get everything in the car
go to the vets for the health certificate
Then the 3 hour 45 minute drive to Mpls.
get the puppy signed in to NW-Delta cargo. Then say good by, the Tear are running.
Then the long drive home .
Then the waiting for that LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG phone call to say they have her .
With the difference in the time it seems like a life time.

I could not take it any more, finally call the family, they had been waiting for an hour, the dam plane is late.

He will call me back when they get her , 10 minutes later the phone rings and it is Keven and they have Zoey.
Finally...........................

She is giving kisses and waging her tail a mile a minute.

20 minutes later another call
She has eaten and is exploring the house. Meet the family dog, They are in Love ....

All the stress and waiting on my part.........

They are so happy, It is a new home that is just right................

Sure makes you feel great when you know that it is a match made from heaven.

Letting them go is never easy..
